Orchid Room · Script Services
From an award-winning writer to a determined reader

Your script, read the way a commissioner reads it.

I spent seven years as an executive producer at National Geographic Channel, running its largest in-house team and evaluating third-party pitches from the buying side. I'm also a working screenwriter — seven feature scripts and five TV series to date, three of them paid assignments; runner-up at Jaipur International Film Festival 2024, Special Grand Jury 2022, twice a Big Break quarter-finalist — so I take notes as often as I give them. Now I read your script, and tell you exactly what a buyer will think, which pages prove it, and what to fix first.

Email me your script PDF attachment, any tier below, to sunilrpappu@orchidroomproductions.com — I reply within one business day.

Why this exists

Too many writers are sold shortcuts — “packaging,” “access,” “introductions” — by people who can’t improve a script’s chances. The industry is consolidated and opaque; there is no shortcut through that wall. The one thing a writer controls is the craft on the page. I spent six years studying it and seven years on the buying side watching it decide outcomes. The read is priced like the professional work it is, and capped — six scripts a month — so every report gets the same attention. The point is still fewer good scripts dying of bad guidance.

And coverage is only step one. The longer goal is Orchid Room itself: a writers’ room where every writer’s voice is heard, where we shape unique stories together — and where we hold the line on what our writing is actually worth, not the pennies being offered for vertical dramas and quick-turnaround content. Pragmatic about the industry, hopeful about the craft. If that sounds like a room you’d want to be in, the door is a script.

Straight answers

Will you be honest?
Yes. Most scripts get CONSIDER or PASS. You’re paying for the read a buyer gives you for free — except this one comes with the reasons.
Do you use AI?
I use my own development tooling for first-pass analysis; every page citation, score, and note is verified and written out by me. Nothing goes to you that I haven’t checked against your actual pages.
Is my script confidential?
Read for this report only — never shared, never used for anything else.
What formats?
Features and pilots, English or Hindi/English. PDF preferred.
